This is a track with Charlie McMahon, Australian Didj bone maestro, he first came up with the name 'Gringo Dingo' at a farewell gig at Hermans Bar in Sydney just before a bunch of Uber Lingua D.J's went to play in Tijuana, Mexico with in 2007 invited by local collective Nortec Collective.

We ended up using the phrase in Tijuana once to stop the Police arresting us for drinking beer in the street. I said to my Spanish speaking friend and Uber Lingua D.J Moses Iten ( Cumbia Cosmonauts ), "tell them we're not Gringos, tell them we're Gringo Dingo's from Australia not America".

Moses and I had to get int he back of the Police ute and take them to our Mexican hosts we were staying with to help sort it out. After the Gringo Dingo joke raised a few laughs I offered the two Police a CD gift of our music so they could save face and not leave empty handed, we were luckily freed avoiding a stint in a Mexican lock up and possible big fines/pay-offs.
